Association of Proposal Management Professionals Florida Sunshine Chapter Privacy Policy.
1. Introduction
1.1. Applicability
The policy describes how the Florida Chapter of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), henceforth called the “Chapter,” collects and uses personal data, and applies to all APMP members affiliated to the Chapter, non-APMP members on the Chapter’s mailing list, and users of the Chapter’s business systems.

The Chapter and APMP International are the data controllers for the personal data collected in connection with use of our services.

1.3.1 User
Any user of the Chapter’s website and business systems
1.3.2 Affiliated Member
Any User who is an APMP member and who has voluntarily identified to APMP International as wishing to be affiliated with the Chapter
1.3.3 Non-APMP Member
Any User who is not an APMP member and who has voluntarily had their name added to the Chapter’s mailing list
1.3.4 Business Systems
The Chapter’s public website and Constant Contact mailing list and event management system, and APMP International’s public website and member database, and Go To Webinar event management system
1.4. Effective Date
This policy is effective 1 January 2021. The Chapter reserves the right to update this policy when necessary. For significant changes, we will notify users of the changes by email. Users should periodically review this notice for the latest information on our privacy practices. Use of the Chapter’s Business Systems constitutes consent to this policy to the extent allowed by law.
2. What Data We Collect and How We Use It
2.1. User Data
User data include:
1. Affiliated Member Profile Data: We collect data that APMP International shares with the Chapter for marketing and research purposes. These data are limited to a subset of the data that the User has entered into their profile on the APMP International website, i.e. APMP member ID, email address, full name, nickname, company name, professional title, profession, address, phone number, member type, date joined, and membership expiration date. APMP International may provide more data in the future, e.g. certification status and date achieved.
2. Webinar Registration and Attendance Data: We collect data that APMP International shares with the Chapter from its GoToWebinar platform for event management, marketing, and research purposes. These data include registrant first and last name and email address, attendee first and last name and email address, total time attending webinar, degree of interest (based on the amount of time the attendee had the GoToWebinar application on top of all other windows), and any questions asked.
3. Chapter Event Registration Data: We collect data the Chapter’s Constant Contact platform when a User registers and attends a Chapter event, such as the Chapter’s annual Training Day conference. These data comprise name, email address, phone number, company name, and dietary restrictions. These data can include other individuals if registered for the event by the User on the same registration.
4. Notification Mailing List Data: We collect data in the Chapter’s Constant Contact platform from Users who subscribe to our notification mailing list, i.e. email address, first and last name.
5. Event Photography. We collect photographic images of Users attending APMP and Chapter Events, such as B&P conference, SPAC, and locally hosted events for marketing purposes..
2.2. Website Usage Data
1. Usage Data Collected: We use cookies other tracking technologies when users visit our website: see Section 3.3 for more details.
2. Usage Data Not Collected: Currently, the Chapter’s Business Systems do not collect any device data (e.g. hardware model, device IP address, operating system and version, software, preferred languages, unique device identifiers, serial numbers, device motion data, and mobile network). However, we reserve the right to collect this data in the future for analytics and reporting and will modify this policy at that time.
3. Other Uses of Personal Data
3.1. Research
We may use collected data to create anonymous data on User geographic location, webinar and event attendance, and other historical statistics.
3.2. Marketing
The Chapter does NOT sell or share any user’s personal data with third parties for their direct marketing. The Chapter may use the collected data to market our services to our Users. This includes sending Users communications via email and on the public website regarding Chapter news and events. Users may opt out of receiving promotional emails from the Chapter by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails. We will still send Users emails essential to normal business operations.
3.3. Cookies and Third-Party Technologies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on browsers or devices by websites, apps, online media, and advertisements. We may use cookies and similar technologies to authenticate users, remember user preferences and settings, determine content popularity, deliver and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, analyze site traffic and trends, and generally understand the online behaviors and interests of people who interact with our public website.
We may also allow approved third parties to provide audience measurement and analytics services. These entities may use cookies and other technologies to identify the devices used by visitors to our website, as well as when they visit other websites.
4. Data Retention, Deletion, and Requests
Any User who is an APMP member but who no longer wishes to be affiliated with the Chapter should first contact APMP International to change their chapter affiliation, and may then contact the Chapter to request deletion of their data by emailing that request to privacy@apmpflorida.org. On receipt of this request, we delete the data that we do not need to retain for purposes of normal business operational history, or other legal requirements.
Any User who is not an APMP member and who no longer wishes to receive marketing communications from the Chapter can unsubscribe using the link provided in the marketing email. If desired, the User may also request deletion of their data by emailing that request to privacy@apmpflorida.org. On receipt of this request, we delete the data that we do not need to retain for purposes of normal business operational history, or other legal requirements.
Any User can request a copy of the data that we have collected from them at any time by emailing that request to privacy@apmpflorida.org.
